European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal
The men of the 20th Armored Division were awarded this medal for "service in the US Armed Forces within the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater of Operations from 07 Dec 1941 to 08 Nov 1945."

One bronze service star could be worn for each campaign; one silver service star in lieu of five bronze:

  • Rhineland -- 15 Sep 1944-21 Mar 1945
  • Central Europe -- 22 Mar-11 May 1945
Ribbon colors representation:
  • Background; brown represents the sands of North Africa and the Middle East,
    green represents the forests and fields of Europe
  • Center Grouping; red/white/blue represents the United States
  • Left Grouping; green/white/red represents Italy
  • Right Grouping; black/white represents Germany
This decoration was designed by the Institute of Heraldry, US Army .

The Good Conduct Medal
Established by order of the President on June 28, 1941; for enlisted personnel who, on or after 27 Aug 1940, had honorably completed three years of active federal military service, or who, after 7 Dec 1941, had honorably served one year of federal military service while the United States was at war.

Victory Medal, World War II
The Victory Medal was established by Congress on July 9th, 1945, and awarded to members of the US Armed Forces for service between December 7, 1941, and December 31 1946.  It was designed by the Institute of Heraldry, US Army
